As covered in the history of linkwheels here, the idea is not a new one, it was previously known as a “mini net” first publicised here in Leslie Rohde’s seminal “Revenge of the Mininet” which is well worth a read if you’re not familiar, or a “dynamic linking system”, these days that phrase often has another meaning.

Here we have tried to cover and answer all the most commonly asked questions about link wheels and link-building campaigns in general. If you have a question we haven’t covered please do here and leave your question, and if it’s a good one we’ll add it into these FAQs.

• Who is behind superiorlinkwheel.com?

SuperiorLinkWheel.com was built by a professional seo company on behalf of a link wheel supplier (us).

We have been working with them to perfect the best linkwheel possible, both in terms of the quality of the content, and the technical design and implementation, which is a critical part of the process, and to do all this at a price anyone can afford.

Having been experimenting with purchased link wheels from several external suppliers on test sites,  they were  impressed by the positive rankings changes but super-disappointed with the quality of the content, so decided to go on a quest to produce a better quality link wheel, with content and articles you wouldn’t be ashamed of if your customers happened across it.

As we use only UK based native English speaking writers we tick that box, and our own innovative link-wheel design has been adapted and modified over a six month testing period. It is now tuned to produce the best results  for both referral traffic and rankings improvements.

• What is a Link Wheel?

A linkwheel is a system of web 2.0 “properties” most commonly free blogs and websites populated with written content, and sometimes video and RSS sites. The sites are linked to each other, and to the target website and attempt to emulate a “natural” linking pattern in the eyes of search engines and produce rankings benefits for the main site.

• Do linkwheels actually work?

When done correctly, yes they do work very well indeed. Our testing and refinement process was carried out over 6 months, on 20+ sites, and every single implementation has shown rankings improvements on the target keywords and with absolutely no ill-effects observed whatsoever.

• How do they work?

Without being privy to the inner workings of search engine algorithms this answer can only be speculative at best, however based on detailed observations and testing over more than 6 months we believe that our Linkwheel system is very effective at leveraging “trust” from established authority domains , and the power of RSS feeds extremely well.  We have tried very hard to isolate effects from individual aspects of the construction to figure out exactly what is happening, but it seems no particular single aspect of the construction is dominant, and that the effect is due to the overall combination of trust, RSS and social media citations, and of course the diversity of links to the target site.

• How does Google Caffeine treat Linkwheels?

The Google Caffeine update is part of a move by Google towards a faster processing system to be able to index and process the real-time web. There is speculation that web 2.0 and social media mentions and RSS are now a larger part of the ranking algorithm, and this seems to work even better with the superior linkwheel system. If anything our linkwheel now seems to work even better on Caffeine than on the previous infrastructure.

• Are linkwheels a “black hat” seo technique?

There has been much debate on this subject and in our opinion, as with nearly all SEO the answer lies with your intent. After all, anything you do to your website with the sole aim of getting better rankings (as opposed to being for the benefit of users) is against Google’s TOS and therefore “black hat”. If you are building huge collections of spammy automated content with no intention of anyone ever seeing or reading them as standalone sites then you are violating Google’s guidelines, however if you are promoting your site via high quality articles designed to each drive traffic to the site, and it also happens to rank better then link wheels are no different to any other form of online website promotion, only more effective. Ultimately the decision to use a linkwheel must be yours.

• Are Linkwheels Safe, ..can it hurt my website’s rankings?

Yes when implemented properly they are completely safe to use on any site older than one month from domain registration. It is Google’s stated policy that links pointed at your site cannot in any way damage your rankings, otherwise it would be too easy for competitors to pay for a low quality spammy “closed” linkwheel pointed at your site and get you punished. The truth is that if they did this it would far more likely boost your rankings than hurt them. The worst that could happen would be that Google simply ignore the inbound links.

• How do you know they are safe?

Because we have tested, tested, and tested some more. We started testing them on several special  “test” sites for specifically this kind of purpose, from brand new domain registrations through to 4 year old sites, all with differing link histories, from essentially “static” (ie no new links for 2 years) to sites that have been constantly acquiring links the whole time.

We then tested on several of our own affiliate sites, and then finally on volunteer client sites, every single implementation has been successful with no funny side effects, so we are now finally ready to offer them on a limited basis to the public

• How long will it take to produce my linkwheel?

Typically 3-4 weeks from your payment, and no longer than 5 weeks from start date.

We are a small company and are not in the business of knocking out hundreds of these. We have limited capacity at present and ongoing work of our own, and we will not rush or compromise a job to make more money. We can  process 2-3 more per week maximum, and will not rush any or overstretch, so availability may be limited at times, and there may be a waiting list. The actual implementation also takes time as we slowly release content and feeds in stages, and it is then crucial to wait before the next stage.

• How long until I see search engine rankings improvements?

More than 90% of the time as you are receiving your completion report you will observe ranking changes, they are sudden, dramatic & permanent (7 months and counting for the first test site)

The other 10% of test cases have shown visible SERP movement within 1-2 weeks of completion.

• How much ranking improvement can I expect?

This will depend on your keyword competitiveness level, and your site’s current level of  onsite optimization, the better optimized a website, the more effect is visible from the linkwheel.

** Note – Good SEO is invisible – if your site is “over-cooked” this can work against you, and links to the site will not have the same effect that a “clean” but sharply optimized site will show.

However as a rough guide it is common to see 40-60 place jumps in searches with allintitle: results of 400k + and 15-20 position moves in allinanchor: search results of 250k+

i.e. significant, powerful movement in reasonably  serious competitive niches. They will not of course rank your new site for “debt management” all on their own.

• Is the rankings improvement permanent?

Nothing is forever, and especially so with Google and the relentless pace of their algo development (400+ updates per year)  but the first the first test site is now 7 months down the line and has not flinched more than + / – 2 or 3  in the charts for the prime target phrase, and that’s been through a very volatile Mayday Algo update, and then the Google Caffeine implementation.

Even if specific rankings were to fade at some later point, the overall effect of huge backlink diversification and RSS presence will likely continue to aid your site in a more general fashion for years to come.

• Why is your Linkwheel better than all the rest?

We would not say it is “better than all the rest” because we have not tried and tested every other supplier, however we can say that it is significantly better than any other that we have tried.  We produce a high quality site promotional tool, with good language and grammar, that will not embarrass you should customers happen across it, and that definitely works very well at present.

We used a staged release methodology to gradually put live the properties and appear as natural as possible, this is why their production cannot be rushed and 3 weeks is generally the minimum delivery time.

• Are Linkwheels suitable for websites of any age?

Our testing has been done on sites from one month old, to 4+ years old, with varied different link acquisition backgrounds and profiles and there has never been a problem, or an unsuccessful implementation.

• Can I Rely on a Linkwheel alone to rank my website?

No, in general this is not a good idea. As with every link-building campaign diversity is key, and if you already have several high quality links from trusted sites, the linkwheel will help even more than if you don’t. In our professional opinion several powerful relevant links as well as the linkwheel is the best approach.

• supply my own video or content for use?

Yes, however we reserve the right to modify written content as required. We will generally take and re-write snippets from the site itself for maximum relevancy, but if you have specific content that you think is suitable please inform us at the time of the order.

• How much does the Superior Link Wheel Cost?

ONLY 165.00GBP – Payable by Paypal when we confirm readiness to start from your order, but availability is limited so ordering as soon as you are able is a good idea. On receipt of your order we will confirm, and advise a likely start date. When we come back to you to confirm readiness to start, you pay the fee and we start from that date.

• Will I own my linkwheel and have all access to all the logins?

Yes, upon completion the report will contain all details and logins and responsibility for ongoing maintenance passes to you. For maximum longetivity we would advise addition of more content at about the 3-5 month stage and can do this for you if you on request for a further 75.00 GBP.

• Can I resell this service?

In theory yes, but one at a time. In practice as capacity is limited, probably not in any quantity at this stage. We may consider expanding the service for resell at some point if there is enough interest.
